So in case anyone was wondering, yeah...I'm still a big geek. Here's Nick Fury and the Black Widow. I really should be working on something else, but Cold War era super-espionage is irresistible.
Lordy lord, that is brilliant. If you ever get the chance to check out the DvD's of the show Sandbaggers, do. It is really like a low budget West Wing based around the cold war British intellegence office. Irresistibly great after the first episode.
Requests on the next batch of superhero redesigns:
1. Iron Man/ Tony Stark 2. Ghost Rider (let's see a DKrall motorcycle) 3. Dr. Strange 4. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch 5. Spider-Man (for Rama) and Mary Jane
I'm a freelance illustrator and part time faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art. All images copyright Daniel Krall 2006. Don't steal from me.

Looks great, Krall. When can I order prints?
Steranko would be proud. This is a fantastic rendition of this pair sir!
Amazing illustration. Love the little details (Fury's shoes, Black Widow's beret and wrist-gun bracelets, just to name a few). Very classy.
I hope somebody from Marvel stumbles across this and gets you to do a Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD re-vamp. I'd love to see these in print!
It's full of Don Siegel and Peter Hunt era goodness. Bravo sir for all the fantastically understated sartorial details.
Very fun!
I love your colors.
